There is no change from previous years in the way in which the end of season series individual rankings will be decided for 2014. A racer’s best 4 results are counted. If a racer has done more than 4 races, then 1/100th of their points in these races is added (giving totals such as 84.19). This allows a decision to be made in the event of a tie. Competitors who have completed 3 or more races will be eligible for the awards. If there are not 3 competitors in a category who have completed 3 races then those with fewer than 3 races will be considered at the discretion of the committee.
As published in June, a club team championship will still be run through the season but will use the results of the individual timed runs. The rankings will be decided in a similar way to the Club National Series run by Snowsport England – with some adjustments to allow for the 3 age categories (Under 11, 16 & under and Open). The rules for the Club National series can be viewed in section 8 of http://www.gbski.com/docstore/BACR/SSERM85.pdf.
